The Tamar Platform installation began with the jacket launch. The Tamar jacket barge tilted, allowing the jacket to slide off the barge and float in the water. The jacket’s flood control panel valves were then opened, allowing the structure to flood. The heavy lift installation vessel was then able to assist in the upending the jacket into its final vertical position.
